 Club News 2010

April 2010

Welcome to the new Welsh Lop Circle website. I'm really sorry it's taken so long but with work & family commitments I haven't had time to update the old one or create this one. Thankfully it's finally done...

The first show of the year was held on 28th February 2010, at the newly formed Neath Rabbit Club. The entry did drop slightly but this was expected due to the change in venue. A big thank you to Hazel Elliott for judging and also to Andrew Lipski for doing the book, and helping fill out the prize cards.
Best in show was Sunnybank Stud with their lovely black Mini Lop and best junior went to Alys Lipski with her lovely Agouti Mini Lop. Thank you to Judith and the Neath Committee for having us there. Well done to everyone who did well at the show and thank you for supporting the club

The yearbook is finally ready, printing was delayed due to computer problems and I didn't recieve all the content from everyone until the end of January. I hope you enjoy the read, the are some good articles in there, thanks to everyone who took the time to put pen to paper.

Our next show is at Machen R.C on July 3rd, our club will be holding a 2* with Anne Wheeler Judging & 1* with Rebekah Couch Judging. We all look forward to seeing you there.

Welsh Lop Circle Newsletter November 2010

Hello everybody and welcome to what is going to be a more regular newsletter.
With all the recent changes we have decided not to do a yearbook this year so instead I’am going to keep you all updated via a newsletter, if you have any news or want anything included please get in touch.
So firstly the biggest change to announce is that I have taken over as the new secretary of the WLC. The committee would like to give their thanks to Becca Ryan and Kevin Moses for their hard work and dedication to the club over the past few years as they done a wonderful job in getting this club back on the map. I hope that you are all supportive of the club while the changeover happens; I’m sure I will pick things up quickly and look forward to the challenge. I’m also pleased to announce that we’ve co-opted Lisa Britton on the committee; she will be a great asset to the club and will be looking after the website – www.welshlopcircle.co.uk
If you would like anything added contact her at hollywillowstud@hotmail.co.uk
Our longstanding chairman and treasurer; Dave and Amanda White are always around the local shows to listen to any views or opinions from our members. The club is run for it members and their support and enthusiasm is what keeps it going. In 2011 the WLC will have been established for 25 years and we hope to do a few things to commemorate this special milestone.
The last show was held at Usk Agricultural where Rebeckah Couch kindly stepped in to do the honours. Best in show was Bunnybarn Stud and Best Junior was Jessica Lloyd-Edge. Best Lop in open show also went to the same Agouti German.

Well done to all the winners at this show and thank-you to our members that stayed behind after the show and helped clear up. It was a lovely day and we thank Donna and team for having us and hope to return to this show next year.
Our next show will be at Anglesey on the 13th November, Gary Watson is judging this show where there will be an ASS and a YSS. On the Anglesey side Jane Bramley will be judging the lops so lets give them a great entry, it should be a wonderful show.
The last show of the year will be at Castleton where the member’s points will be awarded, our judge is Mr N Jefferis and there will be a special guest appearance from a man in a red suit.
Well I hope you have all enjoyed your first instalment of my ramblings :P and that you are happy with the news. I look forward to seeing you at a WLC show soon.
